Fifteen years after the Great East Japan Earthquake, the stories of those affected continue to unfold.
Virgin Earth was responsible for the pre-production, production, and post-production of a Reuters documentary that shares how people have navigated life from the immediate aftermath to the present-day. Our team traveled across the affected areas of Tohoku for a week, conducting interviews and filming alongside Reuters’ director and producer.
The Virgin Earth Post-Production team had a great time working on the making of video🎬 for Netflix’s upcoming series: “Last Samurai Standing.”
The series is a historical drama in the Meiji period, and is set to be released in November of this year.
Virgin Earth was in charge of filming and editing all four days of the GFTN FinTech event in Japan.
Throughout the event, we captured the energy of the venue and cutting-edge sessions from industry leaders. Each day, we produced and released a highlight video on the same day, delivering the excitement of the event real-time to attendees and stakeholders.

Virgin Earth is proud to have produced, directed and edited YouTuber Chris Broad’s 40 minute documentary “The Day Japan Fears the Most”
Our team of bilingual producers, researchers, camera ops, director, and editors worked in collaboration with Chris throughout every stage of production, from concept ideation to delivery.
From the Noto Peninsula to the depths of Tokyo’s subterranean flood channels, our team worked to help give a voice to the resilient survivors of the Jan 1 Noto Earthquake, and to educate viewers on how best to prepare for a catastrophic earthquake.
Virgin Earth delivered a truly global and multilingual edit, using raw footage provided by Netflix to craft a behind-the-scenes look at the Netflix series "Yu Yu Hakusho."
Virgin Earth produced and edited the Japan Mobility Show 2023 highlights video for Nissan social media platforms.
Virgin Earth’s team produced from concept development, through filming and complete post-production, the 30-minute film “Frail” for theatrical release by TOHO studios.
The movie was part of Gemnibus Vol.1, a platform for young Japanese Directors to demonstrate their talents at Japan’s largest movie studio.
Virgin Earth filmed and edited the "International Semiconductor Executive Summit Japan 2024" event held in Tokyo.
The VE Post-Production team left the comforts of the edit suite and embarked on a month-long adventure traveling around Tohoku, editing for the popular YouTuber Chris Broad.
Along with the Abroad in Japan team they helped deliver multiple videos that gained millions of views for the Journey across Japan Series.
Virgin Earth shot and edited the video, focusing on customer testimonials about the features of Caterpillar's technology and the ease of use of their products.
